Uomini si nasce poliziotti si Muore
Ruggero Deodato
makes a ride in the “poliziottesco” and of course he can’t remain
quiet, he must seek his own way. Sowe have bloody crimes, tough police
positions, a bit 'of irony, two heroes who anticipate "Starsky & Hutch"
and opinions about feminism and justice. Also a great soundtrack and
outline the usual "anti-animalisim" of Deodato this time it hits a guide
dog.
"Uomini si nasce poliziotti si muore "
is an original poliziottesco than ever will have similar or even
sequels and he takes position among the most violent movies of the
genre.
In
the center of the history are placed the two heroes. Antonio and
Alfredo. Who already differ in number from colleagues of other films.
Best buddies, so much as to suggest a romantic relationship, which,
however, is counterbalanced by an exaggerated machismo, which in turn
affects shamelessly feminism. The women are all at their disposal!
In fact, as we discover in the notes of the DVD, the script written by Fernando Di Leo provided an intimate relationship between two policemen, then changed, but evidently with some trailing, by Deodato.
Sexual preferences aside, the two policemen are more violent than some criminals,
whereas
they do not reflect too much, to kill or not the bad guys. So they
creat a long trail of blood that crosses the border of their
competencies and ends even in cases others.
Behind them, however, is the father and a little 'comic figure of the "Chief" played by a didactic Adolfo Celi, who does not approve, only officially and exclusively, the work of its strong men.
With
these strong elements, passes inevitably overshadow the story that
much more is made by long chases and violent reprisals from the usual
war against the classical antagonists. The gangster and the corrupt cop
bad however there are, but they are faded and trapped by the many
unrelated episodes that make up the film.
Apart
from the scene rather than call the guide dog smashed, apart the sister
of the villain in the house no more waiting to be fulfilled by the two
super cops and some other solution a little strange Deodato creates a
enjoyable movie.
Strong
surely wide of his imagination, he also adds splatter scens, crowned
by a scene in which to a ma one eye is removed. The aforementioned
irony, sometimes almost parodic, seal the work. Criticised as in the
best cases, this movie was a success at the box office and opened the
doors to careers of Deodato.
The protagonists of the film are Ray
Lovelock,Marc Porel. The first familiar face of poliziottesco and
interpreter of shares generally "handsome and damned" here has the
degrees of the hero, role plays effectively.
At his side Marc Porel
actor who in his short career has gone from Costa-Gavras, Luchino
Visconti to Italian cinema. He died very young in 1983 at only
thirty-four.
The bad, Pasquini, however it is interpreted by Renato Salvatori, he, Salvatore of "Poveri Ma Belli" by Dino Risi,Mario of "I Soliti Ignoti" and Simone "Rocco e i suoi fratelli "a handsome of Italian cinema here unfortunately on the sunset boulevard. If about Adolfo Celi
there is little to say, some curiosity can be found on sisters Dioniso
representing the women's film. Silvia and Sofia. The first was at time
the director's wife, singer and interpreter of different films (also
remember the character of Titti in "Amici miei")
here is the secretary of Chief, which dispenses with feminist ideas to
the two policemen, but at the same time winking slyly. Sofia is the
sister of Pasquini, one that can not wait to enjoy the two heroes.
Cameos for Alvaro Vitali, Marino Masè and Sergio Ammirati.
