Dated, ridiculous and absurd. "Mondo Cane" to modern men's eyes, looks like this. And its subject wouldn’t have place even in the worst sensationalist show of the worst regional TV. But if we try to imagine the 1962 society and the dissemination of information of the time we realize how "Mondo Cane" was surprising and innovative, and why it has so much influence on the world of cinema.

Probably one of the longest incipit of the history of cinema. More than twenty minutes in which a man and a woman pursue and provoke each others, play strip poker, play again strip poker and then finally end up in bed. You want to press stop, twenty minutes are many, but "Zeta One" also known by the title of "The Love Factor" should be a "sci-fi" and then we wait for the aliens and then we look morbid interest in the Danish Yutte Stensgaard and modernist furniture with an egg chair too of the house in which the two are playing.

Finally after going to bed, the secret agent James Word  James (strange name for a British spy ...) tells her about his great adventures and specifically how he destroyed the plan of a dangerous alien race called Angvia (anagram it ... ). And finally we enter in the core of a sexy sci-fi 1969very British and even more of London, with girls that seem to come straight from Carnaby Street, Double Decker Bus, men with bowler hat, the inevitable accent and humor.
A good b movie that spoof sci-fi and spy stories with many of girls sexy dressed or in topless. Told in flashback occasionally it slows down, becoming at times a bit 'boring, but it offers beautiful pop images in several cases, especially when the action moved inside the spaceship, or as mentioned in hyper stylish house of the secret agent
Visually it’s not bad at all and some gags are fun but even more this is surprising that "Zeta One" stay on the borders between  feminism/chauvinism. These beautiful alien, in fact, lead by Zeta One, arrive on Earth to kidnap young girls with whom repopulate their planet, however, they have to fight against a very bad Lord of Evil, the Major Burdon, that if catches them he torture and against the secret agent James Word that between a woman and the other seeks to destroy their plan. He succeeds, but Angvia somehow must absolutely repopulate ...
For all B’s fans and for those who love modernism this movie must not t be missed and it’s another source of inspiration of "Austin Powers".
There is also a great cast with James Robertson Justice star of many movies from the forties to the seventies, who here is villain Burdon who has at his side Charles Hawtrey famous stage and radio actor, who starred in the British series "Carry on". Robin Hawdon (James Word) another stage actor closes the main male protagonists.
From women's side, the most important aspect of the film, we find in addition to Anna Gael, Brigitte Skay, Dawn Addams (who plays Zeta) all active in genre cinema, the good and beautiful Valerie Leon excellent actress who starred in the series "Carry on "and who played a role, as well as many other films in" The Spy who Loved Me "and" Never Say Again ". And finally there is Yutte Stensgaard the blonde who plays poker with James, the only one shown in a totally (but short) naked scene. We have already written about her in "Lust For A Vampire".
