There is a real pop 80's mood there are a large numbers of
quotes, and there are, they never hurt, a large number of women dressed
succinctly.
"Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death", is a pleasant "B
movie” that became cult thanks to the humor that pervades the
film and that spares no one: politics, society, feminism, sexism, youth
and horror film, managing to remain bright, intelligent and never
exaggerated.
The title is inspired clearly to "Cannibal Holocaust" is already a good
reason to see this film that continues in its quotes with a structure
similar to "Apocalypse Now" and partly also to the adventures of
"Indiana Jones".
Despite the title, however, there isn’t any blood but only the
desire to entertain with a story that begins with the growing business
of a tribe hyper-feminist named "Piranha" that eat men and trades
avocado .
The United States are worried about this business competition and send
in to the "Piranha", a famous anthropologist, Dr. Hunt, who has to deal
with and ask them to stop the trade. The Hunt is not alone but is
accompanied by Jim a failed macho and by a hysterical and stupid girl
named Bunny.
Here begin the adventures of this group that must face with Dr.Kurz
leader of the tribe and to the enemies of "Piranha" in conflict with
them only for the choice of sauce to put on the body of sacrificed.
Happy ending thanks to the courses of group consciousness.
J.F. Lawton author of "Pretty Woman" and the series "VIP" and the
recent and appreciated "Jackson" creates a movie very absurd, with many
elements that magically do not quarrel with each other, thanks to a
stylish comedy that never drops in level and a direction suited to the
genre.
The good result is driven also by the presence of two sex symbol of the
eighties, Shannon Tweed, (Dr. Hunt) known playmate of the era and
erotic thriller actress also famous for her relationship with the
leader of Kiss Gene Simmons and Adrienne Barbeau (Dr. Kurz) known sex
symbol of those years as well as numerous film actress mostly horror.
